Located in the historic region of Anglona, between the ancient village of Castelsardo and the mountains of Gallura, Tenuta Ligios lies in a fertile territory whose soil derives from a mixture of lava flows and sedimentary rock layers dating back to geological eras when the sea covered the current land.
Beyond its generous soil, Tenuta Ligios benefits from a unique microclimate that rarely experiences winter frosts and, in summer, enjoys sea breezes that temper the heat. The proximity to the sea—less than a kilometer away—is essential for cultivation and wine quality, giving the grapes a distinctive sapid note thanks to the mistral wind that deposits a delicate layer of salt on the clusters. The estate covers about 15 hectares, of which 4.5 are vineyards and 3 are newly planted olive groves.

Our Winery Since 2006
Cantina Ligios is a small family-run winery that oversees all stages of wine production, from vine cultivation to bottling, packaging, and marketing. Equipped with modern facilities and supported by skilled professionals—from the oenologist to the technician, from the administrative consultant to the graphic designer—the winery specializes in long-aging red wines.
Aging takes place in both steel tanks and oak barrels and continues in the bottle for a period that often exceeds 10 years. Our bottles, stored in carefully arranged and properly inclined stacks, guarantee long maturation, sheltered from light and temperature fluctuations, to offer consumers a refined product.
